Olo, thanks so much for posting about this! I just came here while making the rounds on socials and this made me so happy to see. I always appreciate your support, and I hope you’ll be inspired to participate again this year! [image: alt text] OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Announcing the 2nd annual #SeptKinkyScribble Challenge! Fellow size kink writers, join me in writing fun low-stakes erotica. Write one or more stories of 500+ words in September, using the #KinkyScribble flash fiction format. Get featured on my blog! FULL DETAILS & TIPS: https://ellelargesse.com/2024/09/01/size-scribbles/ SUMMARY: must be at least 500 words long, no max limit can be flash fiction, a vignette, or prose poetry can be NSFW or SFW write it quickly give it minimal edits add content tags, esp. the most important Top 16 Tags share it with the world within 24 hours (optional) message or email me the link to your story to include in my Oct 1 blog post* The strategy of a Kinky Scribble is to produce creative content in a short amount of time, give it minimal edits, and then release it into the wild for others to enjoy. Think of a Kinky Scribble as the writing equivalent of a quick pencil sketch. You could turn it into an oil painting with a lot of time and effort, or you can have fun sketching it, sharing it, and then move onto your next project. You can focus on writing one, two, ten, or try for as many as you can make before September 30! There’s no story limit and no upper wordcount limit. In the first year, twelve participants worked for a cumulative 24.5 hours to write 15 different stories, growing our total collective output to a massive 28,487 words. Read last year’s stories here! *Important: this is not a contest and I have some hard limits due to past trauma, so I will not be reading all the stories. In my blog post celebrating our work at the end of the month, I will only include links to public stories, and stories that offer content tags. For accessibility and consent, if your stories include themes from the Top 16 Content Tags and you do not tag them, I will not share those until you add tags at the start of the story. I reserve the right to not feature a story for any reason. I’m hoping some more folks from Daddy’s Dollhouse might be interested in joining in this year, since I think the world needs way more stories with tiny ladies and Male Giants. Let’s see what we can create!

@TakoAlice8 I’ve been doing some thinking about this, because I genuinely didn’t feel like my interest with Shrinking Women (or some of the other related kinks) had any connection to my body. I’d always assumed this was springing up from my overactive imagination. This was always a “creative” outlet for me and I saw my interest in it as sort of the adult version of when kids play cowboys and indians. Now the unnecessary autobiography. But I did realize something that might be more like what some folks have talked about. I have always been a big guy. I’m just over 6’ and lift weights, I played a bunch of sports in high school (I was/am built like a lineman not a quarterback). And I have a rather big personality. I guess you could think of my natural disposition as John Rhys-Davies or Brian Blessed, or if you watch anime “that American guy” who is usually a mechanic. I was in theatre and loved the stage, I sing well and play a couple of instruments. But from early on I was constantly being told to be quiet or various other versions of “don’t stand out and don’t take up space”. The church I grew up in was full of people who were salt of the earth small town people, and the culture there was positive but sober. They didn’t like noise or noisy people (we sang acapella with no mics etc). My father (also a big man) constantly cautioned me that my size, my voice, my manner would put people off. He was in sales and had constantly had to temper his own size and personality to be a good salesman. So what did I do? I cranked hard down. After a few years I found that I had formed a habit of constantly dialing down, pulling back, trying to take up less space. Despite my strength I’m constantly frustrated that I hold things too delicately. I touch everything like I’m going to break it. Can you see where this is going? Girls like manliness, of course. But I’ve been programmed for decades that girls are fragile and breakable. So… Oddly enough now that I look at it, I can see the symmetry. If I could shrink a woman, she could enjoy all the intensity she wanted she could be satisfied by the overwhelming experience of masculine energy and I want that for any woman I am intimate with. She can have that even while I’m holding back, holding her like she might shatter. I don’t have to worry about hurting her or scaring her in a bad way, she wants my “bigness”. Anyway, I don’t think that’s why I have the kink, but it certainly is why the kink and others related to it continue to flourish in my imagination year after year.

The same personality types I like in real life: sweet, submissive, possibly shy (but not so shy that it’s impossible to interact with her), childlike (not childish). And I’d definitely prefer if she enjoys being tiny, or at least doesn’t hate it once she’s had a chance to get used to it and get past the initial shock and fear.

@Olo Honestly, rather than, like, flat out porn or something, I’d like something that’s just… a tiny SW among normies. Maybe there’s a colony with built up dwellings, or maybe she’s the only one, but something almost… exploration focused, really. Getting from Point A to Point B, using a mix of running, tools she or friendly giants have set up, and parkor, learning to get there faster and more efficiently. Like Death Stranding if it has Assassin’s Creed style parkor, maybe. Oh, and a climbing a person mechanic, like in God of War or whatever, but instead of trying to kill the giant, she’s hitching a ride: maybe she has a hook of some kind to attach to laces, for example, so she running jumps onto a moving foot. Or she approaches someone while their sitting, and attaches something more stable to their pant leg or shoe before they start moving, though that requires getting to somewhere with a sitting giant in the first place… There’s a real place for a sort of simulator like that, built around improving skills and experience, as long as they do it right. Alternatively, there’s a giant walking around a (probably kind of destroyed city/civilization), and the MC basiclly uses them to help survive, even though they don’t know she exists, with much of the same mechanics, but done on ruined building instead of furniture and whatnot. Maybe after a certain point get to bribe them to… like, break a building in the way or some such, in exchange for… whatever it is they want?

Yes, I have had size interactions in real life, but I was the one who initiated them, so I’m not sure if that still “counts.” I’ve romantically/flirtatiously roleplayed size stuff with more than one girl I was potentially interested in. I did it in a normie-friendly, playful way, not in a kinky-sounding way or in a way that would set off a normal person’s creep-o-meter. I never told them it was a kink or a special interest of mine or anything like that, because: A) Why make it weird or awkward when it doesn’t need to be? (Also, I wouldn’t want someone to feel pressured to play along, or to like something just because I like it.) B) It’s an impossible fantasy anyway, with no chance of ever happening in real life, so why would they need to know? When I did this roleplaying, there were a couple girls who got really, REALLY into it. They embraced being tiny and loved every second of it (and embraced the idea of staying tiny indefinitely). No, I don’t think they had a size kink, and I don’t think they were sexually turned on by the sizey stuff itself…I think they just really enjoyed the emotions (and the flirtation) that came with the fantasy. I think it’s a fantasy that speaks to something pretty universal in the female psyche, which is the same reason why Twilight and 50 Shades of Grey became so mega-popular. I never got a negative response from any of the girls I tried it on. Maybe a couple neutral responses, but most of the time, the responses were either positive or VERY positive.

@The-Big-G said: Onto the whole minority thing separate tangent but do any others who do art or write stories feel uncomfortable about adding minorities to the shrink fiction. This issue comes up frequently both in general fiction as well as in smut. In general fiction the main concern is avoiding stereotypes and unintentional racism (often due to ignorance of historical or social context). In smut there is the additional hazard of fetishization of race (even while we’re fetishizing size). Finally, not everyone agrees on racial categories and terminology, so it is perilous to assume your readers share your perspective. On the other hand, readers like descriptions, particularly when it comes to characters they’re going to be spending a lot of time with. In longer works, a character’s racial/ethnic background may factor in the theme or plot, which requires a complex awareness of multiple perspectives lest the readers spot the author’s ignorance or prejudice. In stroke fiction, of course, physical details are the meat (heh) of the action. A common mistake is to avoid using any racial/ethnic identifiers at all. The pitfall here is that you run the risk of all your characters being presumed to be white, straight, cis, able, skinny, neurotypical, etc. If you only give physical descriptions to POC or LGBTQ+ or disabled characters, you’re perpetuating the Marked/Unmarked problem. In my earlier work, I have tried to thread this needle by being scanty with physical descriptions but using “ethnically-pronounced” character names to smuggle in ethnic identities. I now regret this practice. Another concern that requires sensitivity is the issue of representation. Everyone deserves to see themselves in art and literature, and that includes size smut. If they can do it on Bridgerton, we can do it in Size Fantasy. Of course, in visual arts you can easily include all sorts of different-looking people without making it look like diversity for diversity’s sake. In text it’s a little more pronounced, especially if you’re only mentioning physical details for characters in Marked categories. Finally, one of the chief uses for written smut is letting the reader project themselves upon or at least strongly sympathize with one or more characters. Making the characters “too” specific might create an obstacle for readers who are distracted or disappointed by a certain detail. “I was really into this story until I read that the giant had a goatee. I hate those.” Fortunately, size pervs have a lot of practice with mentally editing smut so it accommodates their preferences. There’s no easy answer to this except to be attentive and careful and to read stories from a wide range of sources. If you want to write about a character with an unfamiliar background, try to find a test-reader who has that background to help you avoid glaring errors (if you don’t know anyone with that background, reconsider giving it to your character). Am I wrong to feel this way about desiring vanilla, chocolate and or caramel when it comes to my tiny ladies One easy tip: Avoid food metaphors for people or the color of their skin (even when you’re writing vore).
